OK, I've been on the configurator and so far this is what I've got.

Racing Yellow/Black
PDK
Sport Chrono
PTV
PSE
PASM
20" Carrera Classic wheels
TPM tyre monitoring
Park Assist front and rear
Bi-Xenons with dynamic light system
Leather interior + ventilation
Adaptive Sports Seats with memory
Bose
Homelink garage door opener
Voice Control of PCM
Aluminium brushed interior package
Centre console aluminium brushed
Light design package
Auto dimming mirrors with rain sensor
Electric folding mirrors
Door sills in stainless steel
Sport Design steering wheel
Porsche crest on head restraints
Floor mats

Car is for wife but I'll want to use it too. She has chosen the gearbox and colour (which she is fixed on) but the rest is my spec - and I'd welcome your input. Car is Australian spec which includes standard satnav, heated seats, climate control, mesh, cruise control etc.

Sorry, I should have added that I'd particularly welcome comments or suggestions from 981 owners with experience living with their option choices.

A bit harsh, Mr Demon! Poor bloke only wants to talk cars...that's what this forums for, isn't it?

Mhh....think you got it all covered with that spec! How much will that cost you, then?

It not harsh, it's a every day question which will have 100 replies saying what every one likes on their own cars lol.

It's total pointless.

]Oh give the guy a break for pete's sake.

I think it is entirely reasonable to ask existing owners of what are good and what are bad options to get. I don't have a Boxster else I would contribute.

What does a sport design steering wheel give you? Is it better than a multi function one?
I ask because I am going to change my boxster next year so every little helps when finding the new one.

When combined with PDK you get paddles to change gear instead of buttons. On a manual, it just looks better than the standard wheel but doesn't have function buttons on it so not for you if you want that sort of functionality. It also largely metallic silver so matches the standard trim well.

Seems the OP is happy to spend on options and if so I'd add the switchable sports exhaust to this lot. I assume thats not standard for Oz spec cars?

Centre consul and door bins extra large with curling tongs and hair dryer compartments.

Wind deflector complete with ultra hold hair gel .

Concave mirror for delicate eyebrow epilation.

biggrin

I would think about adding:

Sports Exhaust
Side intakes, mirrors and headlamp washers in body colour (not on configurator)
Sports seats plus add a little more support to the chair

I have had voice control on three cars (not Porsche) and found it to be no use at all. I personally wouldn't pay to spec it.

Looking good otherwise

Is it now the fashionable thing to call a car seat a chair? Sounds too journo ballhooks to me!

Unless money no object, I reckon you can ditch both Sport Chrono and PTV - the former is a gimmick and I don't think you'll notice the lack of PTV due to the general grip and handling.

I had my "roll over hoops" painted body colour rather than the default black and they look great.

I had the lower mirrors painted body colour but didn't bother with intakes and rear skirt as I thought it might be a bit too coloured

If you are going for yellow, what about yellow seat belts?

I have to ask if anyone on here is not buying a Boxster for "the wife" wink

Mhh: I would post on the 981 thread, there is someone on here already with a racing yellow 981 and did the interior with yellow stitching.

+1 on the roll over hoops painted.

yellow seat belts to add some colour to interior?

sport techno wheels are much lighter ..

classic wheels are the heaviest

how about leather pouch for key .. much cheaper to order OEM rather than T equipment.
