Just wondering who's all going to the autosport show in january? We're heading down on thursday, staying the night then show on Friday. Hopefully be plenty to see and some deals to be had on shiny bits!

I am going on Friday, want to buy a retro-race suit and hopefully will get a good deal. Also two friends are joing me in the Sprinting next year so they are going to kit themselves out. Can get some good deals, however I am sure you will get the best deals near closing time on Sunday!

Not being funny, but go to race retro @ stoneleigh instead.

I find autosport to f1 & boy racer orientated now with very little for club racers.

The cost of stand space at autosport also means that no one can offer as good deals as they do if you go to their showrooms & haggle or other shows.

I'm definitely not. Been for the last 23 years (18 of them with three different exhibitors, all of whom decided it wasn't worth the investment) , but the last two shows have not been value for money. In my opinion, it has been in decline for 5 years now. It doesn't know if it wants to be a trade show,F1 show or a tuning show and it ends up as a hotpotch. I hope I'm wrong and you all report back on how much better it has become.

I too am giving it a miss this year for the first time in about 12 years. It has lost that certain something in recent years - sign of the times I guess.

I agree with many comments made of the show. I will go (again) this coming year - on Thursday - for the Engineering Show. Not at all interested in the F1 crap. They should hold a separate show for that in July, at Silverstone..... Oh, they already do.... (BGP).

The Arena mallarkey is for the new "Top Gear" generation. Not interested.

Lots of trade stands were missing last year, they kept pestering me to have a stand, but no way is it worth it!!

There are still deals to be done, and people to see. Probably more of a social get-together if anything, meeting up with people I've known and race with/against for the last 20+ years!

I'll be there sharing the Bubble & Kick Stand (7550) on Friday and Saturday.

I'm demonstrating the ClubSpec 4S Wireless Control System, designed for getting rid of the coily cable.

Details here > www.summittech.co.uk

Hopefully see a few of you there smile

Giving the Show a miss this year, last year was pretty weak with less stands and just not worth my money. For me its around £120 for 2 persons with diesel, entry and car parking, now £10!!!
I cannot justify that expenditure to see nothing new.

We've got 5 in the car and it's costing about £130 including diesel, entry and car parking. I guess you're travelling a bit further!
