Starts but????

Since I changed the battery I've had to start the car differently. Before I pressed the fob to hear the fuel pump and mil light sparked into life...black button and off I went but now.

No pump and no mil. What I have to do is go through the normal start sequence followed by the red button which gets the indicator warning lights flashing. Follow this with the fob button and bingo on comes the mil and I can then start.

Something has got confused apart from me but I'm guessing its to do with taking the battery off and resetting everything..

Can't help I'm afraid but what battery did you fit?

Probably need to sync the fob to the alarm again? Can't remember the procedure, something like keeping the fob button pressed for 6 seconds. Search should reveal all.

Just in work but ill post up the battery make tomorrow. I'm sure it's going to be something as silly as its out of sequence.
