First proper drive since the original and now rebuilt engine back in. Joolz spent a couple of weeks post the rebuild on the niggles and what can I say but wow....! The geo is vastly improved. The engine feels really sweet.
Really enjoyed blasting around (ok with revs limited to just over 3k for now)... The man at Majestic admired the 'Aston Martin' :-)
I had started to think its time to get rid as I have too many 'single purpose' cars. I thought maybe i should rationalise to a 911 turbo or an Audi R8 but after a great bonding session I am feeling the love. Just now need a new battery, to fix the wash/wipe button, possibly get a new clutch (the Raceproved one has always juddered a little in traffic), new footwell carpets and two 35 height front tyres...then it should be perfect.

Pleased to hear you may now have the car you deserve. I have always loved the Cerbera since its launch and it's the tales like yours that make me want one and feel weary of buying one in equal measure. I would imagine that nothing comes close for the money on the sense of occasion front. Good on you and all the other enthusiasts that keep the faith and look after these wonderful machines properly. thumbup

thanks. Just need to drive it, run it in and enjoy. Just hoping the house project and ahem tax bills dont mean it needs to go.

Great to hear that this long (and frequently unhappy) saga has a happy ending!!!

Great to hear that you are "feeling the love" again..... Perhaps a joint blast on a dry winter's day will help???? I need to get out in mine more and start to "feel the love" rather than "dread the bills"......

:-)

Yep I am up for a blast (albeit limiting my right foot until run in).

Limit of right foot also due to limited traction with greasy tarmac.... ;-)

I'll text you about trying to sneak out this weekend......

(Sneak out referring to time out from family commitments, the Cerb is hardly the best stealth weapon for undercover duties.....)

Sure. Meet at mine. Down to Baslow, up to Owler Bar, across into Hathersage, down to Grindeford, across to Tideswell, out the back and into Bakewell then up to Great Longstone, Monsal Head, Ashford in Water, back to Bakewell and then past Chatsworth and home:-)

Or Via Gellia etc?

It's also on a few of the top ten most dangerous roads in the uk (by number of deaths). I suspect the number of lads on motorbikes puts the stats up somewhat.
