Yes chain reaction for sure, worth a look, I got my new hardtail from there last week.

My budget was higher and I got an awesome hardtail with a great spec for 1k instead of original RRP of £1999.

Pauls cycles and Hargroves are worth a look, Wiggle with have some stuff as will CRC.

If you're Blackburn based, as your user name suggests, it might be worth talking to Michael at On Yer Bike Blackburn / Burnley - you never know what he might have in stock that he'll do a deal on. I think OYB are Cube dealers now and Cube turn out some decent stuff. Lots of local off-roading to be had hereabouts too!

Light, great brakes, air fork and most importantly great tyres. I love mine, you should have a bit left over for accessories too. I paid less than £400 for mine after british cycling discount and it was on sale
