993 cab vs. Boxster S
Discussion
Ready for flaming..
Have enjoyed many nice cars but always change them too soon, part of my affliction to cars means I'm never satisfied, grass is greener etc. etc.
Latest ponderings include a 3rd return to a Boxster Spyder but am be keen to reduce the outlay.
Which has led me to comparing the following:
993 Cab, 100 odd thousand miles, manual and £21k
987 Boxster S, 2006 vintage, manual and £15k
I get the 911 "proper" Porsche thing, but driven back to back what would the verdict be?
I've only had experience of water cooled 911s and quite fancy going old school in a Hank Moody Californication kind of way (and yes, I know that should mean a 964 Cab).
Any opinions most welcome..

That's a fair old compliment of motors you have had!
I am going to take a stab in the dark and suggest that you won't gel with a 993. You obviously get bored with cars quickly and feel the need to move on. I have a very close friend like this. He loves showing me his new car, and then tells me what his next car is going to be!
You need time with a 993 or pretty much any air cooled 911 to understand them. They feel antiquated and rubbish at first.
But then they start to get under your skin...... See how many owners keep them long term.
I may be totally wrong of course. Maybe you should give one a go and let us know how you get on.
