My drivers door won't stay shut, can anyone advise on how to adjust lock position etc, can't find thread to said details, heck I've just got her back from 1000 mile service after engine re build, nightmare, seems to not quite activate latch, even closed it sits proud of bodywork and now if I lean on it, it opens about 7mm! How do I adjust it, I need a bible!! Thanks chaps.

You need to check the cables. The cable that connects it to the middle knob may have seized. Have you tried wiggling the manual release inside the car?

Yeah, works fine, if I knock area around the 3 Allen screws on the latch in bodywork, sounds abit loose but screws arn't, how do you get at it all, even if I push door fully home from outside car door easily pulls half open again, even when locked?!!? She's been re sprayed so doors have been off recently!

Have a look at the lock itself. It's hidden behind a flap of carpet held by velcro between the door and the rear wheelarch. I had this problem and the latch spring had become stretched and wasn't pulling the locking tab closed.

Thanks, der I realise now, will investigate in morning. I assume there is some adjustment available to get door more flush when closed?

You can have the plate on the door shut too far in to pick up the second catch; if you loosen and move it further out it may solve it.
