What have you done this year? According to Strava I've covered 3,355 miles over 92 rides with ~190,000ft of climbing.

I thought I'd get beyond 3,500 miles but the recent crappy weather cocked things up a bit.

ET correct climbing figure

First year of riding for me and Strava says I've done around 1,600 miles and 40,000ft. I record my static rides too I've logged 140hrs of activity. That might be small compared to most but for me it's more the the previous decade combined.

Chapeau - quality year.

6800 miles on the bike this year, down from about 9000 miles last year. Two things stopped me doing similar mileage: ran 550 miles this year, and was injured a lot - peroneal tendonitis and ITB problems in both legs. Suspect both related. Had the stupid idea of trying to go from not running to ultra marathon. Really, really didn't work out. Staying below 18 miles at the mo', and not doing too much in minimalist shoes. Don't plan to screw up again.

I only really started going for it in June, so looking forward to a solid year in 2013 all the way through smile

Mainly thanks to strava as I've logged all my rides this year and by June realised if I kept going at that rate I could beat 5000 miles for the year so felt compelled to keep my mileage up.

Also the crap weather meant I bought a road bike in order to stop getting covered in ste every time I went out on my MTB.

And a 30 mile commute almost twice per week

Mine is probably the lowest here, but never mind! Since I took up mountain biking last July, here's what I've managed:

- 474 miles
- 52 hours
- 6,560 ft elevation gain
- 86 rides

The ride count is a little high as I would stick Strava on for absolutely any cycling when I first got it (nipping to the post box/shops etc..)! Reasonably pleased with the current, as I didn't do a huge amount of miles in the first couple of months as I got back into the swing of things. Hoping to bump it up to 500 miles before the year is out, and my target for 2013 is 2000 miles.

Just under the 5000 mile mark, will probably get in one or two rides before the year's out though. Nothing like okgo though, top work. I was riding in Surrey about two weeks ago and probably missed you on the road by a few minutes looking at Strava

Happy Christmas one and all

Its not too bad, I ride with a guy who just overtook me this week, but he got his Garmin mid way through April!

Do like being able to get out and about at this time of year though, makes you realize how much better non commuting miles are. Been out last two days and got two more days planned in, looks like I might manage the festive 500 for once!

I'm be just over 7,000 I would think. I could tell you more accurately if my fkING Garmin had not decided to pack up for no good reason.

Started using the Garmin on 28th June. Since then logged 40 rides ( there were a couple of others that weren't logged but not more than 15 miles). Stats are:

Miles: 881 miles
Ascent: 55,300 ft
Time: 73.5 hrs
Calories: 40,000

This was all off-road. I'll be adding another 50 miles/3,000ft before the year end.
