I have yellow stuff on mine and I'm really pleased with them. There are two sensors I believe, 1 front and 1 rear.

Over on m3cutters, I believe he performance friction pads are rated quite highly. Get some braided hoses and new fluid and its a worthwhile mini upgrade.

PF are good, a bit noisy and never really got them to fade, however they do chew discs to be honest, but they are good, get them next day delivery for £85 as well

I have recently installed yellow stuff on my E39 M5
Totally transformed the brakes, good feel, progressive and lads of bite.
No squeal and no more dust than OEM

Very pleased.
