New starter cable fitted
Discussion
Took the cable off from the starter to the battery last week as the terminal on the starter end had corroded and broken off. Jesus tittyf
k was it a pain, held on with self tapping P clips every few inches. Should of taken the under trays off from the beginning. Took it to work to make another.
Refitted the new starter cable today. Sadly at work instead of the 50mm2 CSA multi strand that I took off we only had 70mm2 CSA 9 strand. Means the new one was a little thicker but a lot less flexible. So a little bit of a pain to refit. Especially as I had to whip off the starter motor to sort out a little cross threaded stud. All back on and working though.
Wanted to take it for a spin in the sun but then spent the evening watching the Sheffield Steelers, we should of won though. Their keeper was like a brick wall!
Old connector and new one on the new cable
