There's a couple of Suzuki SX4s for sale near me.Both are petrol, one is manual gearbox and has done 13000 miles with a FSH and is an 06 the other has an automatic gearbox and 23000 miles and FSH on an 08 plate both are priced at £5999.
Which would you buy?

No idea what the auto is like versus the manual, but the mileage difference is negligible, really, and still below average. Whichever you prefer I suppose, or whichever has the better options? They are good little cars, by the way.

Wife recently bought a an 08 plate SX4 grip
Loves the car, higher driving position, hasn't however got the low down torque of her old 306 turbo deisel.
Also fuel economy not what the book suggests.

Sounds like the manual gearbox may be a bit better on fuel?
I have read that the interiors can be a bit noisy and trim can rattle.

wifes is a manual gets around 36mpg at the minute
There were engine changes around 2009 0r 10 I think. Older deisels not recomended even by dealers.
Interior of the 08 plate doesn't rattle but the seats are hard and the interior a bit "hard and basic"
THe keyless entry system drives me nuts!
