Alarm going off !
Discussion
Has anybody else had a problem with the alarm going off for no reason . It usually happens if the car is left in heavy rain , but it cant be cancelled by locking or unlocking the doors . I feel that it may be linked to the tailgate switch getting water in it but just wondered if anyone else has had any problems ?

Rear clam alarm switch is know to cause false alarms. Depress it a few times to ensure it operates freely then try cleaning and spraying it.Nigel

I found a better quality replacement on eBay last year. I don't have a link, but it was called something like heavy duty alarm switch.
Dom.
Thanks for this, I typed in as you said and have found a replacement for the crappy old rusty thing and it only cost a couple of quid. Dom.
