Glove box latch (again)
Discussion
I know I can easily get a like-for-like replacement, but I've done that. Twice. And the glove box has never worked well.
Has anyone in the last couple of years thought of a better way that doesn't involve anything on show on the outside of the box? My current thoughts got complicated - involving a capacitive touch sensor, a solenoid and a modified door catch... It was a bit too big to fit though.

I fitted a pair of neobyduim (spelling?) magnets. The circular ones with holes in bolted in on the LHS of the dash and glovebox. Will try and get pics if anyone wants.
Merry Xmas!!
That's what I used. Fitted them to a 'push open/close' cupboard latch. Push it and it pops open slightly and then I can pull it down. Still drops open occasionaly if I hit a big bump but loads better than the old loft latch.Merry Xmas!!
