Boardman Road Team v Carrera Virago - today's decision

OK, so Halfords have 10% off today, combined with my BC 10% discount, either of these will come in at £810.

Which would you go for? I'm not a brand snob and have been riding Carreras for the last 18 years (2 mtb plus a roadie).

Both come with 105, and both get good reviews.

That carrera iis a nice bike. That's where my money would be out of those two

OK so the Carrera has been ordered. I guess I'll see tomorrow if I'm able to use my BC discount on top of todays internet saving.

I had the same dilemma - went for the Carrera in the the end because Halford's various deals stacked together to make the bike £829.00 which at that price made it a bargain.

At £1000 (RRP) there are likely better options Giant Defy 1 for example but at £800 it's pretty hard to beat.

What weight are the bottom end carbon bikes ? been told there are carbon frames and carbon frames !

At that type of money i have been adviced to go for aluminum..

That Virago looks remarkably similar to my Trek Madone 3.1, but much cheaper. Looks a good choice to me.
