My favourite time of the year! Its been a long time since I've been for a drive so enjoyable, chiefly because the roads are so beautifully quiet.

I only have a run of the mill hatchback, but it has a revvy little 1.2 twincam that needs to be worked really hard to make progress. I haven't been out driving a stupid way, just at sane, safe speeds without the 'Drive everywhere at 40mph OAP brigade' there to hold me up.

The 185 section tires make the car fun too, even at slow speeds the car feels enjoyable!

Whilst everyone is opening their presents I've been enjoying the best gift of the year! biggrin

Have any of you guys been out? smile

Merry Christmas,

Matt

Just got back, had a nice blast around Eynsford, Otford, Longfield and Chobham, similar to the route I did in my mazda a few days ago, only this time I decided to take advantage of empty roads and take the T5. Some pics:

Brekkie with the in-laws followed by a drive from London to the south coast early afternoon for a late Christmas dinner. While everyone else was at home stuffing their faces and getting boozed up, I was out enjoying 60 miles of clear A and B road smile Nothing on the road at all, just a couple of easily-passed family wagons and some like-minded bikers

Top hooning! Now preparing to get boozed up and stuff my face

Happy Christmas everyone.
