I went this year and will probably go next year as well.
I followed advice and got seats in the stand that over looks the last corner. This was good, as I could see all the way down the pit straight, most of the pits and most parts of the last sector. I.e see the widest range of things.
It was bloody hot! Getting to the circuit was easy in a taxi. Getting back to Budapest was a bit of a nightmare. Ended up using the free bus service.

Free bus is brilliant, no significant queues either way. You get the impression that the F1 just isn't that big a deal in Budapest, wonder why Bernie sticks with it really.Simon
I was guessing that general admission would be about £100 less than a grandstand but having looked it up some of the grandstand seats aren't a lot more. Is very different e.g. at Silverstone. But whereas at Silverstone most of the general admission areas have been taken over by grandstands, Hungary is a lot less developed so plenty of viewing options.
Went this year sitting in the grandstand at the end of pit straight, overlooking the braking area for Turn 1. Blistering heat, but it was great viewing from this stand, seeing the cars come down the straight and brake hard for the first turn. Also had a good view of the waterpark in the distance.... a tempting alternative on a typical Hungarian summers day! If I go again, would try for somewhere around the back of the ciruit to catch some high speed cornering.
I posted a bit about hungaroring here the other day, i loved the place, Brits were in the minority too so we always got a cheer.
