Merry crimbo all PHers.

Right, had a windfall at christmas and now have 30k which I am going to splash on a car. Have always wanted a skyline but not sure. I drive a modified Mondeo ST24 at the moment putting out about 220 pony powers so am mindful of jumping straight into a very powerful car. Anyone got any good suggestions on cars. Asking as I'm sure you lot will throw out some choices which I haven't thought of. Not bothered about practicality as we have the mrs motor for that. I want something, quick, fairly luxurious but which isn't going to kill a relatively inexperienced driver!!

M3, M5, rs4, c63 amg??

There is lots to choose from with that amount of money, but i suppose it all comes down to what you want from a car.

You're not far off a GT-R for that money, which by most accounts is a ridiculously fast car - not sure about jumping straight into one, but I see two in my area used daily (morning commute) so it's hardly a death machine

Is 30k the entire sum, or do you have more money for fuel and maintenance than before?

I would use the money for something that isn't depreciating or choose a car which is only going to gain in value/hold it.

Can you get a 964 RS for 30k, or something similar?

All the big M, RS and AMG will loose a fortune and cost a bit to run if out of warranty.

Dare I say it, pay 30k of the mortgage off (assuming you have one) and look at one of those website showing how much you are saving in the long run. Or sod it buy a E39 M5 and run it into the ground!

Difficult these days frown but I good idea. If he is worried about depreciation

I was going to mention an NSX there is that nice 1997 car 1 owner in PH ads.

Easy to drive car as well, reliable and know servicing costs to boot.

Just wait for all the neysayers!

Lexus ISF

I reckon there could be a good deal on one of these at the moment. There are ones with lower miles in this price bracket but the configuration of this one is simply awesome imo !
