X type estate towing electrics

Does anyone know if the X Type estate 06 has a place where the towbar electrics can be plugged into or even if anyone does a kit to just plug into a connector in the rear wiring harness if it does exist ?

Have you tried Jaguar, I remember the kit being a simple plug and play affair, maybe even cutting off parking sensors where fitted.

Indespension fitted my 07 X-Type estate with a Witter detachable and the parking sensors work when the socket is vacant but not when it's in use. A purpose built loom is the way forward. No error codes, no compromises.

Now I have ordered a kit from Jaguar, but whilst waiting for it to arrive had a quick look for the connections in the boot, but nothing obvious to plug into.

Are they further up behind the panelling or some other hidden location ?

I may be wrong but I think the plugs consist of replica connectors to go on the lights as they are but with sockets on the back into which you connect the car's loom. They are interposed between the existing plugs and the back of the lights. Someone who really knows will be along in a minute I'm sure.
