Help me choose a new av amp
Discussion
I've just set up our 10 year old Yamaha and found it is making some rather bad hissing noises. Rather than spend cash on fixing it I thought I might get a new one.
We have ps3 for blue ray, skyplus, a decent Panasonic 42" plasma ( thanks der) pc for music, iPhones and an Apple TV box. Plus another old DVD player for the odd karaoke evening. So we need 4 hdmi in one out. We run 2.1 at the mo but that's just because the Yamaha has decided it hates the sub, so we'd like that back, I'll then stick the rears on when I work out where to put them.
I like the idea of music streaming so spotify/AirPlay would be nice. A quick look online and I come up with the following three.
denon avr 2113
pioneer vsx922
onkyo txnr515
They are about the same price. All can be controller by an app ( which I like) all support some sort of streaming and seem to have the right number of inputs.
I'd appreciate any thoughts.. Or alternatives, around £250
Many thanks

Quite fancy one of those (or the Yamaha RX-V673) but keep reading about the GUI being slow and clunky. How bad do you find it ?Just bought one this morning. Does all you want. £300 from Richer Sounds.

The fact that it's got a built in network services was what swayed it for me. Now streaming 1tb of music from my Cocktail X10 and iTunes from my Apple devices. And yes, as already said, for music only, a hi-fi amp would probably be better, but for a do-it-all unit it's more than capable.
