Peeling potatoes...anyone tried one of these?

Coming from the land of Spuds ( Ireland ) I myself use a better version of what the woman uses , ie the hand peeler. Mine has a better blade and a nicer grippier handle. I think Debenhams sell them. Really , how much time do we spend peeling spuds, the other device would not be that much faster and would need storing and cleaning.
Also most the vitamins are near the skin and the best way to cook/eat spuds is scrub skin while washing and then cook and eat whats left of the skin. If you use roosters or whites like in the video then it s easier.

That video made me and the missus laugh, we could be wrong but we are sure you can see the flat sides left by a knife on the freshly peeled spuds.

Never used that, but it's the same principle to what we used in the chippy. That was on a bit more of an industrial scale though and the side walls did the peeling if I remember correctly.

We used to have something simalar to OP's post...BUT ours was powered by water.... you connected it to the tap, and the water pressure rotated it...

or better then that whats wrong with the wife

Yeah these are the best as chipshops use them, as for those winding ones...nah, to much faffing.
