hi all , thanks so much 4 all ur input , what i mean is that i can lock and alarm and unlock and disalarm from the passangers side , this locks both doors , but i cant do either from the drivers side . on my previous R plate chim ( door button under the mirrors )i cld lock the doors from the inside via the button on the door opening knob , but this doesnt work on my M plate chim , hope this is a bit clearer lol , thanks guys
When the battery was flat I assume you opened the passenger door and then charged the battery... It is possible that as the battery was flat when you unlocked the door that (as has been mentioned) the central locking is out of synch... The central locking would have seen one for unlocked and one door locked when it powered back on.
You may want to try taking the roof off, climbing in to the car and then locking it while you are in there (hence taking the roof off). Then disconnect the battery for a few minutes (I'd suggest 30 to an hour)... Feel free to climb out but don't unlock the door.
Then (with the doors still locked) reconnect the battery and try again.
It may not work but its free LOL

ok might try that , but i cldnt unlock at all from either door , i had 2 break in ( im sure u no how ) then open the doors from the interior knob then charge the battery , also the button on the door opening knob doesnt do a thing , so wont really b able 2 try u method , but thanks 4 all ur input , im sure ill get there in the end lol thanks again 4 ur help
You may find the door locking button (on the opening knob) has been bypassed, if a new alarm system has been fitted.
I believe mine has as there is no power to it either and a new alarm was fitted by a previous owner.
The easiest way for a non-TVR specialist to do central door locks on a key fob is via the button, but you can't leave it connected for interior use, because as soon as someone presses it the car would shut down....if all that makes sense.
I can only lock mine by the fob or one door at a time with key, but I don't think the latter sets the alarm.
Something for me to sort at some point.

That's why I said to take the roof off... You could lock the door with the key and climb out through the open roof if you wanted to (assuming you have agarage as it's p*ssing down right now)Gassing Station | Chimaera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
