what car USA edition: DONE with my STi, what next?
Discussion
I am at wits end with my 2012 STi Limited, after what seems like the most arduous ordeal and plethora of problems, I think I am finally throwing in the towel.
cliff notes:
motor blew after 2000 miles
all manner of electrical issues
power steering leak
driver window broke
and generally have lost all interest in driving it spiritedly in fear of more issues.
I am considering all sorts but here are the current contenders (has to be new):
BRZ/FR-S/GT-86 (fully optioned)
Focus ST (fully optioned)
Mustang 5.0 (base model)
any ideas?

Depends where you are exactly I'd say.
I love my Mustangs, obviously less polished products than some options but they are just fun whatever you do with them, even if that is tentatively approaching some state park twisties.
The 5.0 is a pretty damn good engine too.
What about a Boss 302 even?
ETA: Scratch that used suggestion.

Mustang 5.0 is a great steer - base model or otherwise the DNA is largely the same as the higher-ups. Would certainly be my choice from those listed.
You can pick some pretty good deals up on Challengers and Camaros at the minute too - worth considering depending on what you like in a car.

Don't knock it. Get a P71 and watch the freeway lanes clear in front of you Like Moses parting the Red Sea.
Maybe once upon a time - but fewer and fewer State Troopers drive white cars anymore - so the cop simulator color is something of a crap-shoot - and more frequently they are going to be in a Charger rather than a Crown Vic today.Note to OP - get the Mustang. I was a non-believer and tried my best to find fault with mine, but for the money, they are huge value - and for less than $700 you can bring that Coyote to Boss 302 spec. SS Camaro's and R/T Challengers are lard-asses, in comparison.

+1 on both points.Note to OP - get the Mustang. I was a non-believer and tried my best to find fault with mine, but for the money, they are huge value - and for less than $700 you can bring that Coyote to Boss 302 spec. SS Camaro's and R/T Challengers are lard-asses, in comparison.

I used to have a 350Z and have never been a huge fan of the 370Z. but my local dealer has insane deals on them including two NISMO editions (350hp)
thoughts? would the mustang still be better?
An "Insane deal" to me is where you purchase a car for the list price, and the dealer rubs jelly into a hamster while making notes on the quality of your socks in order to complete the transaction.thoughts? would the mustang still be better?

PS. Why not take the 350z for a drive, and compare it with a test drive in a mustang?
