price differences between bottom and top of range models...
Discussion
just been looking through a porsche brochure and noticed that the base Cayenne is £44,397.00 and the top of the raneg Cayenne Turbo S is £107,460.00
in percentage terms, this is a massive hike between 'standard' models for what is essentially the same car. ignoring the addition of optional extras (which can bolster prices hugely), is there a car out there that shows a greater price spread?
(ignoring something like the M3 GTS)

Best value for money is invariably at the bottom of any range of cars.
- You still get all the R&D and engineering.
- You get the benefit of the manufacturer's desire to tempt customers into the showroom with a competitive headline price.
- Take care in the expensive "options" list. Few add any material value to the car when you come to sell. Or to put it another way, the options depreciate much faster than the rest of the car!
