My PC is talking to me.
Have I lost it?
No, there is an ad that starts playing on PH that just keep going. Even if I am not on the page.
I don't click anything, it starts automatically.
Can I stop this using PC (mac) settings?

There's a button on the top right of the advert which allows you to opt out of receiving this annnoying spam.

God knows why Haymarket thought anyone on PH would be interested in this tosh. It's more suited to Wonga.com or whatever they're called.

Thanks. I've used the ad blocker. If it doesn't work, if out of PH for good.

PH has a strict no noisy adverts agreement with the ad company. A post in website feedback would help them know it's happening so they can have the ad removed from PH.

Thanks for the pointer.

Dear PH:
Your noisy adverts are intrusive and irritating. If I cannot block them I will leave PH.
Your truly.

Well I guess if they don't want me here, they will crank up that dial. laugh
I see PH as a M&S sort of site, middle of the road if you like.
If they want to become a combination of Poundstretcher and the Daily Star, then I'll be glad to take my apparently valueless demographic elsewhere.
Heck, what sort of website wants middle class drivers with clear disposable income using them. Can't be having that in the rush downmarket can we!

Can't PH change it's terms and conditions so that if advertisers break the rules with noisy adverts it can charge them a fortunebiggrin Maybe then they will get the message.

No word here from the PH Webmasters.
Maybe they don't care......
Maybe they don't use their own website on account of the irritating adverts?

What gets me is that surely this is a wasted spend of advertising budget, because when it starts I just shut the page down because its so annoying.

Just found these too, also thought I was going mad, hearing voices.

As a consequence I've blocked ads on the site, not something I want to do as I wish to support PH. However these ads are intrusive to a degree that I don't find acceptable.

Yea I'm finding these bloody adverts on every other page. Very annoying, it's like using the internet in 1997 when almost every site had a crappy .wav file playing in the background.
