I know we all know the routine - but they are still out there trying !!

Cut and paste the usual bankers draft email - didnt even bother dressing it up as something different - should have guessed by the dodgy spelling in his first email to me...

Feel free to offer Stuart your pride and joy for a dodgy bankers draft or subscribe him to as much porn as possible biggrin

Subject: JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED 2002 2000 MY OFFER

HelloDean ,
Thanks for your quick response and am also excited to hear from you the car is still available for sale and thanks for the details you just gave about the car and am quite delighted to hear from you that the car is still in great conditions.Since all the details you put on the advert are updated and real,i think there is nothing to worry about and also i want you to know that i won't be able to come for the inspection of the car as am a very busy man here in Ireland.
I will make you an offer of £2000 which I think is fair enough for the car because i know the worth of the car and more so what you’ ve stated about the car details in the advert page and the maintenance of the car you’ve spent so far since you bought it.

I will take care of the shipment because I had already consulted a private shipping company who’s going to handle it professionally for me both the shipping cost and other necessary activities concerning the shipment of the car and my preferred method of payment is by bankers draft or Cheque in a (GBP) that’s the 2 options and safest way for me to transfer CASH which am going to instruct my business associate to post you a bankers draft via post office.

I want to you to know that i will only take the possession of the car once the bankers draft has cleared in your account within 2 to 3 working days so you have nothing to worry about.
Hopefully to hear back from you today in order to proceed further with the payment and shipping arrangements as soon as possible.
Bankers draft only required your FULL NAME and your POSTAL ADDRESS i did not request for your bank details.

In my next email i shall let you know the details that is required from you to enable the bankers draft gets to you by post office.
I look forward to hear back from you today.
Cheers.

OP, in your reply, tell him that you are an oceanographer and are away at the moment... Then start to string him along a bit...

I had a trailer on PH Classifieds (sold this morning for cash) and had a very persistent woman called Natalia and with a funny accent saying it was exactly the trailer she wanted and what weight would it carry. Firstly I said in the ad that it was a conversion from a covered trailer and was therefore unique (she cannot have wanted this exact trailer as there is no other example) and secondly I said that it was for lightweight Se7en style kitcars only and gave the bed dimensions. She asked would it carry a Bentley! Even after I said that it would not carry any production car because they were generally too wide and heavy, she persisted until I eventually had to be insistent that it was unsuitable. I don't know what the scam was but there certainly was one!
