Sounds like a fun time had by all!

The mind boggles on those pink fluffy socks, though.

Those parking attendants on their golf buggies are RSOLES. We got a ticket once for parking completely legally on a nearby road not far from the pier. My girlfriend, being a native Californian knew to simply ignore it. I was all for chasing the attendant of giving them some verbal ...

America - funny old place.

I agree, Targarama. Sometimes I think that vermin parachute in, and helicoper out. Parked outside Santa Monica post office, put 20 minutes of dimes into slot meter, was in buying stamps no more than three or four minutes at the outside and zap! Came outside to find a $30 fine on the windscreen. Shock, horror, bewildered. Looked at the meter. It was still in time. Looked at the parking sign. No restrictions at that hour. Nonplussed, I read the back of the ticket. It said, "Car 20% across the line." I walked around the car. Sure enough, the nose was across the parking box. Livid, I sent 20% of the fine to the parking superintendant ... and heard nothing more. And that's the truth.

(I hope that's not what you tell your girlfriends; you always wear something in bed ... when you really mean socks!)

I did. Many thanks. I'll follow it up. We have much in common. Are you my long-lost twin, perchance?

No, My long-lost twin moved to Australia, couldn't cope with all these people coming up saying "Ere, you look like maggit, you do!" So, unless you've arrived there via Oz, we're not twins.

Back fom Mehico! Safe and sound! It's definately a different world down there how some people live, a bit like Manchester with sun!!

LA, great to hook up again, maybe next time we can hook up in your native land, it would be a good excuse as I've never made the pilgrimage!

Oh well, this evening I'll either be on my September 11th flight or the 10 o-clock news!! Wish me luck!!

Adios amigos!!
