As I've previously mentioned, I'm older and wiser, although not a patch on the talking 2000 year old talking Sphinx that is MBH, and I game less often these days. I've also been sick with flu which won't shift and spent Xmas drifting in and out of sleep.

It's been a while since my last hypnogogic encounter with evil computer lords, but I'm finding that in my current hot/cold sweats all night state, if I game before bed, I have ongoing dreams and delerious encounters with the enemy all night.

No one wins. I just run through the Far Cry jungle and watch the scenery flying toward me when I close my eyes, I mostly can't find the pigs bks I need to craft another ammo pouch (a big frustration until I found them) and waking for a wee does not make the dream scape stop playing.

I can't be the only one who, after a mammoth gaming session, switches off but continues along the storyline all night. The last time I gamed whilst asleep was oblivion, and picking all those bloody flowers all night whilst trapsing through the forest. I woke up picking flowers feeling I hadn't slept all bloody night hehe

Battlefield 3 - I could see people with red names above their heads plus hear gun fire and explosions.

Still, I find gun fire quietens the sounds of screaming women.

I jest but I do voluntary work in a care home and some of the residents make a lot of noise (not because they're being abused but it's just the way they are with dementia etc) and when I come home and it's quiet, I can hear their voices echoing in my head. A good session of BF3 with loud speakers replaces the screaming!

I did dream the solution to a game, think it was Aliens Vs Predator, woke up and played it at around 0300...... I forgot about the face hungers and screamed like a footballer when one of the buggers leaped at me from the monitor hehe

Many years ago when the PS1 was first released, I bought the Command and conquer demo disc and played it to death. I used to have so many foot soldiers when I closed my eyes all I could see was hundreds of things moving which resembled the troops. I realised then I had played to much.

I still find it hard after a few good rounds of battlefield 3 to switch off.

I admit I get this from time to time, usually if I've been playing a lot of one game in a short time.

Lately I end up dreaming of wandering around in a DayZ setting, although there's never any zombies, it's just other people there. Usually I end up shooting people only for them to not die no matter how many rounds I put into them.

There's probably some Freudian stuff going on there...

I got this playing Civilisation once; I started daydreaming about tactics and pretty soon I was dreaming about it at night. Too much gaming; I went cold turkey.

My brother, father and I all had dreams about Doom. They weren't scarey dreams, we were just all doing our jobs and running around on the moons of Mars shotgunning demons.
