Hello people, please don't sit alongside highsided vehicles in strong winds. If you survive the instant diet effect of being flattened you'll hold me responsible for for the damage to your car. I know we're a pain in the arse but stay away from trucks when it's windy. Many thanksthumbup

Leave earlier.
(sorry, probably not relevant but seems to be the truckers reply to most criticisms)

I don't mind what time you leave, just don't sit alongside a truck in high winds and expect everything to be ok! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Or:

if weather conditions are so bad you find yourself unable to hold your vehicle* within a single lane, park it until things improve.

*Not truck specific: I leave my motorbike at home when gale force winds are about. It becomes "no fun".

Blinkered idiots who crawl past lorries at 58mph deserve everything they get IMO, whatever the weather.

Same goes for plebs that park at the side of your rear 1/4 in a mirror blind spot as you're approaching cars you want to overtake.

Common defensive driving. Don't sit next to anything, or spend long in its blind spot if overtaking.

Bit over the top there. Tyranical for a reason?

If I didn't check my blind spot how would I even know people were sitting there asshole?

People that seem to cruise up to you in the next lane then stop as they reach your 1/4 and just sit there. I am very aware of what's around me, no more than most I am sure but a lot more than some.

probably because you're the kind of person who accelerates when someone tries to overtake you.

Noticed this yesterday, was driving home in economy mode in the Jag (60mph on cruise) coming out of the 50mph limit at Elkesley on the A1 and a lorry was having all sorts of problems staying in lane 1. Hung back, booted it, pressed resume on the cruise once clear. Didnt look to be having a good time with the curtain side

I watched a coach get blown from L1, across L2 and part way into L3 before he managed to pull it back this morning.

..at least a Scenic would be more noticeable when wrapped around the front of a lorry than the Clio was.

Another tip, if the a19 flyover on Teeside says on the big flashing signs its closed to high sided vehicles, then dont drive over it if your in a high sider, Or once again the police will close it to everyone as the high sided vehicle drivers seem to think the big flashing sign doesnt apply to them.

Thats a bit specific, granted! biggrin
