I became the proud owner of a 3R a few weeks ago. I bought it new, one of the last of the ex- dealer cars.
I'm really pleased with the decision, and wanted to thank everyone for the good advice obtained from lurking on this site.
The beast is run in now and had its first service. It's such an effortlessly quick car, fantastic spread of tourque and a superb sound track. Even more impressive is the ride/handling compromise, so well judged for the UK.
Booked in to Elvington on the 25th of september, thought it would be good to get a feel for the car on an airfield before trying Oulton. Any other Nobles going?
Only problems so far is the air-con, which has stopped engaging, its booked in to be sorted next week at Christopher Neil. Is this a common niggle?
I've ordered some of the headrests to keep the girlfriend concious.. would have thought she would have better neck muscles but oh well

I had this. With mine it just needed a re-charge. Check that they've got the stuff to do it as some places don't and you have to go again when the mobile aircon chap is booked in.
Been fine since.

Stuh, Good question. I really liked the Evo, but the Noble is in a different league. I don't mean just objectively in terms of acceleration and cornering limits, but in the way it communicates so well and really responds to the style in which you drive. I know Evos are sometimes critiscised for their lack of driver involvement, but i never really appreciated this until I drove the Noble.
I'm sure I'll be missing the evo come winter though..
How are these things on cold wet roads?

Diceman said:If you have SO3's on, very good. I've been through last winter with mine and had no issues. Just remember that you have 300+bhp and similar lb/ft of torque, and if you are smooth you can still have a lot of safe fast transport.

One small thing though is that the brakes are very very good - be smooth and be prepared for wheels locking up if you try and shed lots of speed very quickly and react accordingly.
