Best Courtesey Car ever?
Discussion
The Gallardo has been in for its 1500 check up with Lambo London, so I've been tooling around in an Audi TT. It's one of the 3.2 DSG gearboxed cars, and I've got to say it's a cracker. The paddle shifts work far better than any I've tried before (360 included), changes are genuinely made in the blink of an eye and it's got a tasty exhaust on it to. As I understand it, DSG means that with a dual clutch, the 'other' clutch pre selects the next anticipated gear so it's all seemless. As you can tell, I'm no engineer - but it works....still looking forward to picking up the Lambo - but the Audi makes a great case as an everyday moter.
Have you tried taking a TT on a bit of a hoon?
Horrible steering. The chassis is more wooden than the shed at the end of my garden.
The TT is a nice object, a decent daily motor, but it is a long way short of being a drivers car IMO.
The TT is one of those cars that is lovely at up to 6/10ths, but push it into the other 4/10ths remaining and it all goes wrong and betrays its Golf origins.

Yesterdays post was a moment of madness guys - and for that I'm sorry. I picked the Lambo up yesterday, nicely cleaned by LL, and hit the A4 ....second gear, 7500 RPM and a nice clean shift to third before the familiar yellow box drew into sight......forget the Audi, I have no idea what I was talking about.
