A little more info...

There were several of them drifting in the water. I would think up to about a metre in length and seemingly open at both ends with a diameter of about 15 cm. They were transparent with different colour hues varying from almost clear to pink through to brownish. Butterflyfish and tangs enjoyed biting chunks out of them.

The next day I saw many of them washed up on shore.
