Hi guys just had a very interesting day working on the chim. Oil and filter a pretty straight forward job, but as for the blcensoreddy spark plugs!mad

Spent the best part of the afternoon changing them, and the lack of skin on my hands and knuckles indicates what a twcensoredt of a job it was.

Last time they were changed was when the engine was out and then it took all of 5 mins!

So note to anyone with the engine out, or manifolds off etc......change the plugs before you reinstall.yes

As per the title what are the air filter options, keeping it located in the same position as per original.

Don't know why you struggled I can do a complete set in and out in 15 mins, you need a 1/4" small ratchet with a 3" extension, crack them all then spin them all out, put them back in by hand using the socket and extension then go round and nip them all up easy peasy.( as opposed to doing one plug at a time)

Try a kn cone filter I have two on mine

Do you have any pictures of your install ? i wonder how you joined them together ! I want to buy another K@N filter but want to avoid the TVR tax .. Other than that i wonder if there is a larger one available .

This thread reminded me of all those years ago with mike virgo's griff 500 ..an early adopter of aftermaket ecus (omex on his car) .. looking for more hp I did a two filter arrangement in the nosecone (it was actually 2 pipes to the std fibreglass filterbox on the later 500s but could have easily been 2 separate filters in there instead). That car made 350bhp Daz, about 8 years ago.I'm surprised you guys aren't trying to break 400hp by now never mind 340!

Do you have a 1/4" drive plug socket, and if so where did you get it?

You need one with a double knuckle which gives more movement ..
