Well even though we had to go early - drive shaft went on our cooper s; the track was super wet. How did people get on; i can then get vicarious pleasure from the day through everyone else's experiences.

There were a few offs; did the rain reduce towards the end of the day?

In my racing days, I often attended the 'Plum Pudding' races on Boxing Day.

One year, when riders started crashing on BLACK ICE :YIKES: the event was abandoned and we all retired to the clubhouse for a mass piss-up instead.

RAcing scores were settled with drinking games that year biggrin

Wet doesn't really describe it...

By 2 pm there was water visibly running across the top of the tarmac about halfway round Gerard's. There were surprisingly few incidents really, and the few who did end up on the grass were lucky to be able to get off it!

It stopped raining at about 3:10, when I left, but I think they were going to close down at about 3:30 anyway.

All considered though it was a good day, albeit my shoes are still on the radiator drying. smile

Despite the slightly damp conditions we still had an excellent day, our first track day and definitely not our last.. Hope the lads in the mk3 escort are ok after a big impact with the barrier.

The river running across the track at Gerard's moved the T V R across the track by around 10 m, so called it a day at lunch. Still really enjoyed the morning till the rivers started running across .
