When I took my dashboard appart, I took a lot of pictures from the back of the dials in order to reconnect them the way they were.
Unfortunately, the external hard-drive where the pictures were stored is damaged and I can't retrieve the precious data from it.mad

Can anyone help me out with the spade connectors on the small dials? Do I have to pay attention to the color of the wires, are the dials sensitive to an inversion of electrical connections?

If you have pictures to illustrate, I would be forever grateful.
Thanks and regards
Philippe

First off - what sort of gauges are they? There are several versions and all wired differently...

What year is your car? Are the gauges back rimmed or silver rimmed?

My gauges are silver rimmed (2000 Chim). I have labeled all of the wires, therefore I know where goes which one. What I don't know anymore is, gauge by gauge, which one is the +12V and on which spade it connects.

Alternatively, if someone can confirm that polarity must or must not be respected, that could save some time.
Thanks for the replies.

Ahhh ... then I'm sorry - I only have wiring diagrams for my '94 black rimmed ETB gauges ... not the Carebont ones. frown

You do need to get + and - the right way round though - that's definite!

Hard to see really. smile
But much thanks for posting that picture. beer
At least it will be of interest for one of the four! laugh

Look what I have found on the internet: http://www.caigauge.com/page19.html

Now, all I have to do is to find the wiring diagram for my car (should exist in the bible) and checking voltage before assembly.

Happy new-year to all....bowtie
Off I go for some Champagne.
