Just thought id introduce myself to the Froum now that ive got a worthwhile car! Its a Mk1 RS and was the last one produced (build number-4501). Its currently being used as a daily driver until I come to my sense's and get something sensible! Full aftermarket exhaust system, blufin map, K&N air filter and has roughly 280bhp.

And lastly a picture of both my Pride and joys! My 'Lotus 7 replica' which is loosely based on a locost with a westfield fibreglass body!

Thanks, Mark.

Yeah theres a bit of history, ill upload some press photo's when I find them. It was driven back from the factory to the UK by autocar magazine I believe and they did a little article on it.
The front nosecone/ bonnet is the FW style but the back end/ scuttle is (I think a wide body) westfield although the rear wings seem to be a couple of inches wider!
The Locost/roadster chassis is pretty narrow in my opinion and it was a real pain to get the two mated up together- it took a fair few months and a lot of fibreglass/ filler to get what me and my Dad deemed to be acceptable. Its all part of the 'fun' of building a unique car! Nothing bloody fits! The hardest part was getting the bodywork to fit around the roll bar as on a Westfield the roll bar is fitted after the bodywork and a hole is drilled for it to fit through but on mine the roll bar is welded on so we had to sculpt the bodywork around the roll bar and pray it didnt crack when the rear tub was re-fitted after painting!
My internets decided not to upload pictures so ill do that later!

Cheers guys. Its growing on me quite a lot!
Yeah they are the ST170 ones. I prefer them to the standard RS ones but I have those in the attic if ever I change my mind!
Thanks for the pic- I presume that was near enough straight out of the factory. Can you remember what stand it was on?

Sadly not, sorry. None of the photos I took fro that stand immediately before and after your car give away anything either.
Ahh, thanks for checking! It just looks like a plain stand which is quite strange.. Ive added the pic to my computer so I can print it off and add it to the history (providing thats ok with you?)

Love love love MK1 FRS's. The tinted ST170(?) headlight clusters look great on them as well.
the previous owner has bought another already
