Are you sure that's not just a shed exoskeleton? Maybe the actual spider is lurking in a corner, just a bit bigger now.

Must admit, at first glance I thought of a Brazilian Wandering spider but then checked your profile. Should be ok (unless you found it on holiday in Brazil). This is a Sydney Huntsman spider, much more friendly:
