Frame size question

I'm considering buying an old steel bike just to see if I like riding on drops. The only one I can find on eBay that doesn't have a daft buy-it-now has a 19.5" frame. I'm 6' 1", will it be far too small?

To give some perspective, I'm 5'8" and ride a 54cm road frame (~21").

Look for a 58cm frame. A lot are collection only but a search for road bikes under £200 brings up quite a few.

Absolute bargain basement steel frame, steel wheels.

Just want to try it for a couple of months before committing (or not) to a road bike.

You may end up hating it. Better off spend a 'bit' more on a bike off ebay that you could resell for the same price that will actually fit you, rather than just getting an old clinker. Modern bikes are a lot different to an old chrome rimmed dead weight machine of yesteryear. Just a thought..........
