am getting to the stage now where i need to think about choosing a silencer for the caterham hayabusa. and ws wondering what suggestions you have. money is tight as i have massively overspent buying things at a fairly high spec so ideally i would search the used market. budget probably circa £200
anyone know a seller of decent quality silencers at a decent price or of any used items for sale? cheers.
also got a force racing cars headers and collector so silencer is only thing i need.

If you plan any track days, I would get the biggest one possible and make sure its repackable.

There is a firm who's name eludes me, I think its starts with a C that is well known in kit circles.

Sorry I cant help further.

I had a repackable silencer made at a local stainless exhaust manufacturers. It's a as long as possible Has an off set inlet and is 7.25" dia, this gets my caterham fireblade under 98db static.

Hmm. AB performance look to be the best bet then - 6 inch silencer at £285.

About the best it will get I think....

I tried a GSXR1000 can on a busa but found it to restrictive as they run 2 silencers on the bike, I have run a 7" Techcraft silencer which was good but it cracked and needed welding back up in a short time, I tried a standard westfield one but that was far too loud, I then used a 6" Wunoff silencer which I run for a year and that was pretty good and prob the cheapest one I bought, Im going back a few year but think was around £200 back then. if you plan on trackdays a Busa isnt the easiest car to meet noise regulations, I ended up making a new rev counter face with offset numbers to get through static checks and a reverie airbox to pass drive by !!

Currently have a Raceco silencer fitted on my duraburp and after only 1500 miles I have had to repack it as it spewed it all out and emptied the can? I used some much better quality insulation material on a roll and it is now very quiet.
