Hi guys had another day in the garage today checking all the suspension for play etc.

Anyone with poly bushes on the front should read the following post and check for play on a regular basis.

Its approx 3 years since i changed all the bushes to poly and the only 2 with any amount of play was the front upper rear bush, the ones that are affected by heat from the exhaust.

I did wrap the heat shielding around them, i even added extra, but as the pics show, there is some deteriation in the glass cloth heat shielding, and some heat distortion of the bush.

Thats the bad news!

The good news is it took me 5 mins to remove both of them leaving the upper wishbones in place, and it will probably take me the same time to refit new ones.

Now that would be impossible with original bushes, keeping the wishbones on the car!

I think new heat shielding, and possibly some kind of metal deflector should help more this time.

At just over £30 for 2 new ones[including new heat shielding] and a simple and easy job to change, i will be more than happy if i get another 3 years.

Purchased them here:

http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/framefix.asp?PID=...

They do them in split form, i.e you can purchase the 4 standard front bushes as a kit, or the 2 no.lower front rear special bushes as a kit, the top 2 no front wishbone rear as a kit, etc, etc.
