Mrs Gearchange and I visited here between just before Christmas - she'd seen it on masterchef at some point in the past and her current fixation with tapas restaurants led us here.
The tapas menu was fairly extensive and there wasn't anything on there that I wouldn't happily have eaten - the dining room could best be described as 'cosy' and the service was swift and attentive without being hovering.
Due to the fact I'd imbibed a number of daytime beers (essential medication for enduring a family 'carols by candlelight' at the Albert Hall) I stuck with water - Mrs G had a glass of fizz which we thought would help keep costs in check..
We had some excellent 5 year aged Iberico ham, along with wild boar Salami and Chorizo both of which were very good.
Taleggio cheese was dispensed with in short order and was followed with crispy soft shell crab with fennel salad which was quite utterly amazing.
Confit duck with pomegranate, chestnut and mint was very salty - but worked well. The slow roast of cheek with parsnip and Parmesan purée was unctuous and melt in the mouth
Courgette flowers stuffed with goats cheese and drizzled with honey were very sweet and fried perfectly - light and not at all oily, didn't taste much of goats cheese - which was fine with me as I'm not a fan to be honest
The crisp baby squid was perfectly cooked and the patatas fritas (chips) were, well chips, but were incredibly moreish and served with very garlicky alioli
This little lot was accompanied with 2 bottles of water, a glass of fizz and washed down with a double espresso and a large Laphroaig - bill was £106.00 - but we ate very well and the food was of the highest standard.
I'd certainly go again - some of the best tapas I have eaten anywhere.
