"New" Lancia Stratos

Actually it is not so new anymore. It had been presented in 2010.
As the old Stratos had mid-mounted Ferrari dino engine, this one is powered by
4.3L V8 engine from Ferrari F430. Awesome!

Was in Autocar a while back, it needs a 430 donor car and costs circa £500k.

I think that right at this moment there is only one of these existing. It still is an concept car anyway
If i remember right that 1 out of 1 concept costs about 5 million pounds.. cheap as hell :P

It was News back in 2010/11 when it was first presented but on the 1st Jan 2013, not so much?

Yeah i guess, if you're really willing to pay some seeeerious money to Lancia ( and Ferrari? )
to get them inspired building another one.

I don't think Lancia had anything serious to do with this new Stratos, wasn't it built by Pinnifarini using a chopped up F430?

And If I remember correctly Ferrari were dead set against anymore being built.



Also is there any news on whether this car is back in one piece?

Last I heard it left the black stuff at speed whilst competing in a Tarmac rally somewhere in Europe.

It was switfly removed from the scene of the accident on a covered trailer before anyone took any pictures!

Its was based on a F430 scud and was the result of Michael Stoschek putting his hand in his pocket for a 1 off.

Not heard about the crash.
