Fitting loops to battery
Discussion
Happy new year.
Sorry is this is an absolutely basic question, but I want to fit the loops/hoops that came with my Ctek battery conditioner to my Porsche battery, but I'm unsure of the best way of doing it without blowing myself up!
Because the bolts don't come off the battery completely, I'm going to do as suggested and change the 'o' loops to 'c' loops instead, but I'm not sure of what order to do the unscrewing?
Do I need to unscrew and remove the terminal to the negative first, then work on the positive loop, tighted and then put the negative back on and do the same, or can the terminals remain on completely and I just simply loosen the bolts and fit the loops?
Always a bit nervous around batteries!!!

Stick with the Os IMHO, I just took the nut off and put behind.
Best to get the -ve out of the way first so you won't short the spanner out on the -ve bodywork etc when you're working the +ve. Also when the clamps are loose they will break/make connection and spark lightly when fiddling about and I doubt the electronics like that sort of game much so better to get the -ve right off and be done with it.
It's hard to touch the other terminal with the spanner but obviously make sure you don't.
Definitely a 0.5 spanner job in the haynes book
