Anyone else like these American cars from the sixties and seventies? They were originally produced by Studebaker until they went bust.

300hp Corvette engine, looks amazing. I've never seen one here. There are always a few for sale in the States. They seem quite good value.

This 1975 one is up for 18k Dollars, but there usually a few for a lot less than that.

Yup, I'm a fan, built a model of one when I was a kid and have been intriqued by their quirky looks ever since. They were fibreglass too I think

They do look incredible don't they. I think the original round headlamp version looks best but I believe they are quite rare.

Yes they were fibreglass. The performance isn't bad, listed as 6.7 secs 0-60.

I think they were supercharged, long after that was out of fashion.

There was a supercharged option (just as there was 10 years or so earlier with Hawks) except engine was no longer an 'in-house' Studebaker unit.

Designed by Raymond Lowey, had quite a few innovative safety features I think, like the passenger cell. Like many of Lowey's designs, just fails to hit the mark style-wise, IMO, and looks a bit of a hotch-potch of ideas.

They're certainly different.
