Aka under the dash.

From previous owners things have been "altered"...

Atm I have 3 questions, which are each of these and what should they do?

The black wire from the formed block (with thick wires) and has the two coloured bands.

The small wire on back of the ignition barrel

And wire under the dash (small one) brown with red trace

Any help suggestions ideas?

Pretty sure there's a "spare" wire from the ignition barrel on ours.

The parts manual shows a wire on the barrel and a diagram I have shows this too.

The brown small wire with the black connector I'm not worried about, its protected and not dangling anywhere.

The long wire with the two bands on though does make me wonder. Everything seems to work ok, I'm wondering if it was a feed to the otter switch, which I'm not running now. (kenlowe sensor and twin 8" fans)

hi whitewolf, that wire with the two clour bands on, just roll them over and the original colour will be more distinct, if it's violet with black then it's to do with the horn as is the plain violet in your other picture. although it's been several years since i used to unravel wiring problems on tvr's it could be this? best of luck and best wises keith

This could well be.

The indicator unit if from a vauxhall nova and things have been moved around. The steering wheel horn did used to work but stopped. So for the time being I've put new wires into work from a button on the dash (that used to be the push start button)

Everything seems to be working fine, I may just roll up the wires and 'forget'
