Outdoor car cover for a Vantage S

Hi all

Can you please kindly recommend where I should go to/contcat, to buy a breathable outdoor carcover for a AM Vantage. AM quoted 500 quid for one, which seems abit excessive !

Jenzo - got mine through AMOC (members only) for the DB9.

VERY good quality outdoor cover, tailor made @ £220 but I note they are £260 now. You will need to join AMOC, giving you access to a lot of other information and monthly publications.

Lead times are what they are.

Please don't buy a £50 tarpaulin sheet.

specialised car covers make a lot of OE covers ...take your pic on material...I guess about £200-250 ish from memory, but a long time since I bought one

had them for over 10 years on various cars, had the Vantage one 6 years now....still like new and been in regular use last 5 years since we moved house

IIRC, some cover manufaturers do something slightly different on the inside, perhaps an additional layer ?, when it's a soft top ?

Specialised have variety of covers from single layer to multi layer breathable ...not sure on differences for soft top version though

IIRC Bogie the AMOC partner is Specialised Covers (it's been a couple of years so the brain cells are foggy)

pretty sure the additional bit or difference with owning a soft top cover is only for indoor ones. the felt leaves traces on the roof so you get a fine over cover for the roof bit that goes on first. you then put the felt cover over the lot. i think with outdoor ones they are the same whatever you have

most likely - the difference between "official" version or generic will be price and an Aston Martin logo on the cover....

I dont have the logo, I dont want to advertise whats underneath to passers by....

i have a vantage outdoor cover purchased from specialised, their demonstration for the cover being water resistant and fully breatheable was very good hence the purchase. The cover has only been fitted twice due to the continual use the car had, i would not fit the cover unless the car was fully cleaned and as the car was used throughout the winter the cover has been packaged in my garage. please get in touch if you would be interested it is no longer needed due to a recent change of vehicle. the product is very good if you intend to leave the car standing for a period of time and is discreet without the badging.
if you are not interested no problem enjoy a great car.
