Have just got back from Austec where they put the car on the rollers for me to get a set of figures. Quite pleased 252 hp and 311 lb/ft, near 5 ltr stuff for a 4.5

Recon the cam shaft is non standard as the torque figure is so high and the max torque is at 3500 to 4000 rpm and the head gasket was replaced recently, so the head was skimmed and that would have put the compression up a very small bit.

Am going to get the bigger airflow meter, bigger injectors (better spray pattern) and Mark Adams to tune it all in for me. Cost about £1500 + VAT.

I am also going to bet the exhause manifolds lagged to try to get rid of some of the excessive heat.

Will let you know how it goes.

Had my 450 on a rolling road on Saturday, Emerald in Norfolk, mine is standard apart from no pre-cats, it punched out a less impressive 232bhp @ 5200rpm and 262lbft @ 4100rpm. Lovely smooth curves though.

Very surprised when my cousins Saab went on, his 2.3 turbo had slightly lower power and more torque!

After having looked into the gains people have had from mods, I am more reluctant to hop on the slippery slope!
