N400 SILLS FITTED

[PDC V8V]

About 9 months after buying them, finally got the N400 sills fitted to my Vantage.
I think it makes the car look slightly more modern - next job is the elusive Sports Pack wheels.

Where'd you get yours from?

The bodyshop that fitted them got them direct from the local Aston Martin dealer parts department. £650-700 + VAT for the pair (unpainted) sounds about right.

Weirdly, although I bought an N400, I used to prefer the look of the standard sills - definitely coming round to them now though.

Whilst some people want a fluorescent union jack on their bonnet, I am much in the, "subtle mod camp".

Lovely car by the way, hope you're pleased with the sills. I realise this may be controversial as the N400 sills seem to have a bit of a following on here, but dare I say, I think I prefer the Vantage without. Personally (and what do I know) the "flick" towards the rear of the sill doesn't work with the natural lines of the car. I think that the "straight" V12/S sills work better, but what's wrong with naked??

Of course, I'm being picky, the car looks fantastic and I understand how upgrades can give a whole new lease of life so enjoy whilst I see myself out.

They all look good, and I'm glad the OP is happy. But naked is best (of course)

I'd like to do that, new wheels, 6 bar grill and lights! But when I add it up I think it will cost more than I can justify and makes me worry about not keeping the car standard.

Should I "grow a pair" and do it? Or should I save up for a newer Vantage instead? My car is a 2007 plate with just 10k on the clock, and I will own it outright in March...

I'm in the keep it standard but mint club.
Nothing wrong with changing wheels and lights as they can easily be changed back.

IMO, that wheel design is starting to look it's age now (been out 7 years) and personally if cash was available would source a newer style set.

Make the car your very own! Using Aston Martin accessories is still keeping the car standard in my view. These are just options in the same way as the colour. The options you have selected are all relatively cheap and make a fantastic and simple refresh.

I've had the car nearly 2 years now and its about that point that you start to think a DBS would look really nice on the drive. However, making a few subtle mods takes your mind off that £50k upgrade. Sills, wheels and even a power upgrade would cost in the region of £10k leaving plenty in the pot for new additions to the fleet. And then you need more garage space.....sh**, where's that £50k gone.
