Ceramic upgrade GT3RS MK11
Discussion
A lot - I asked about this for the GTS and was told around £20k all in from OPC. I guess if you bought second hand parts and asked a decent indy to install them, you'd save a packet but I still doubt if it would be cheap. Also, whilst they are excellent, if you do loads of trackdays - that's going to be a lot more expensive than steelies!
If you are seriously considering an upgrade then look into offerings by movit and stoptech.
Both offer ceramic options that are superior to the Porsche oem.
The other point is that really the only 2 benefits of a carbon ceramic brake setup is weight and heat.
The rotors weigh less (which benefits unsprung and rotation) and can handle heat much better.
Performance is the same (until you encounter the heat limit) hence the reason most manufacturers spec ceramics in a larger size. It can then say it stops better.
There are easier and more cost effective measures to achieve these two benefits rather than plonking down 20k for rotors.
Lighter wheels for example will deal with the weight aspect. Fluid, pads, cooling or better rotors will all deal with the heat aspect.
Better rotors will also assist on the weight too.

I looked at it myself but was surprised at the cost. In the end I decided that even with high wear, I probably wouldn't justify the cost. It was almost cheaper to swap the car!!
Right . Better to find a car with them. Also i have noticed that the first cars to sell, GT3/RS all had the PCCBs.
Only good for a road use car i would have thought.

...the calipers are the same bar the colour of the paint red/yellow..
Are they?
The ceramics are 30mm larger in diameter so believed the calipers to be different?

7.1 GR3.. steel front rotors 350mm, ceramic 380mm, calipers are the same.

Why would you?
Because they're original equipment and half the weight of the equivalent manhole covers.SM
OP installing gen 2 RS, not an under performer in standard form with steels to begin with.
