Dash instruments all stopped working at the same time...
Discussion
Hi all, seeking help to track down a problem, today, first drive of the new year in my Griff 500, everything ok, then all instruments appeared to stop working - minor dials totally, all reading as if no charge/signal reaching them, speedo and rev counter working, but reading far below the actual revs/speed.
I've checked the fuses and they all seem fine, anyone had a similar issue or can offer advice?

they are all fused off a single fuse, but also have a common earth.
it is possible the wire from the fuse to the dash, or the connectors behind the dash, have failed.
do you still get dash lights? or do the lights in the instruments work
do any of the switches still work
do you have hazards (they have some different live feeds not via the ignition switch)

if its at all erratic, that points more to a poor earth. it only takes 5 mins to take the dash out, (had to remove mine yesterday to fit a programmable digital rev adjustor)...........and all the connectors will be there. that way you can trace which wires are live, and not, and determine if youve an earth or live fault, or if the fault originates from the fuse box. (which could of course just be a fuse corroded).
on mine, the lives are all wrapped together, it is possible one has come adrift.
id try changing out the dash fuse anyway.....it might just be a bad connection at the fuse
