ill get this rolling with went to work today in my Mk1 Golf GTI. 222,000 miles on it used mainly as my winter classic. Had it 15 years and have no issues with winter use. Prefer to keep em moving!

I drive my '63 Riley just for fun most weeks. I was supposed to join other enthusiasts for a drive round the Peak District yesterday but was still squiffy from new year's eve celebrating and decided to not risk losing my licence, a pity as it was a good 'do'.

I'm using the 924 (1987 / 79k miles as a daily currently, 2 miles to the station a day plus the usual errands (does get longer runs at weekends)

Has caused no issues (barring a sticking ignition barrel in cold weather) and condensation on the inside of the windows (sunroof will be fixed ASAP)

Well my MG went to Queen Square yesterday. Does that count? It's used all year round normally but I've had electrical problems recently. The replacement earth strap hasn't arrived yet otherwise I'd be driving 180 miles in it tomorrow.

I'm running my 1970 Volvo Amazon as my only car at the moment... Normally she'll start on the 1st turn of the key and I've got a great heater, so there's no reason not to use her every day IMO.

I sometimes see a nice Morris Minor van on the way into work (Nottingham), so I assume that the bloke uses it as a daily.

Yep. I use my 32 year old Porsche 944 as a commuter snotter. It lives outside all year round.

A few leaks, a few problems, all part of it.

It's been non-stop Interceptor so far this winter. Great heater and wipers and a heated rear screen make all the difference (plus the Elan's dynamo really isn't up to coping with winter's electrical demands).

Had a 944 snotter myself for about 3 years bought for 1k cost not a lot to keep on the road sold for 2k, bangernomics at its best. think they are hugely underrated.

Hats off to the Interceptor daily. That has to win so far! With you with wanting a cv8. 541 might just edge it though.
